Cabinetmakers build and repair fixtures (like kitchen cupboards) and furniture made of wood or wood substitutes. If you’d like to produce custom-made pieces, you’d discuss projects with customers, draw up plans, price and select materials, and measure, shape, assemble, and install your work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environments for construction careers can be located outdoors or indoors or both. Work hours may vary as well. Some positions are seasonal while others are all year round, but part-time.
